Dashmetry Runaway

The experience of playing Dashmetry Runaway is similar to that of setting off on a lengthy journey. Careful placement of each stage is required to prevent slipping behind schedule.

Platform Traversal Amidst The Movement

The platformer style is evident in every jump, every landing point, and the way the space is divided. Platforms appear one after another, forming a continuous path that forces players to maintain a steady pace. The level uses two main forms: cube and ship, but the focus remains on the continuous series of jumps. Elements such as tall columns, triangular slopes, and narrow corridors are arranged in a way that requires quick observation. There are no abrupt transitions; everything is built towards stability. Players will gradually get used to the pace before the challenge increases.

The Chain Jump - Maintaining Rhythm Is Key

You leap between little platforms and large columns in the first phase, which is all cube gameplay. Obstacles are strategically placed to test your timing. The length of this section is noteworthy, allowing players to build a steady rhythm. Once you become used to the speed and distance, you begin to feel the fluidity in each jump. After the cube section, the game transitions to the ship, and the feeling changes dramatically. The space becomes more cramped, with rectangular structures and spikes surrounding it. You no longer jump in rhythm but must maintain a stable flight path to avoid collisions.

Rewards For Sharpness

  • Getting to the first coin in the triangle ramp requires you to fly low between the spikes.
  • Near the ceiling corridor's finish, the second coin requires a flight route change via tiny columns.
